Since my work room is a little far from the WiFi router base unit, I have installed a WiFi repeater in the middle.
It's been two and a half years since I purchased the WiFi repeater, so I don't know if it's due to aging or if it's a compatibility with the device, but sometimes I get symptoms like "packaging?" I am rebooting.
It's not very frequent, but that's why I often find it troublesome to go to the WiFi repeater and plug it in and out. I don't want to get up if I'm watching Netflix in bed late at night!

Many WiFi routers can be restarted by logging into the management screen using a web browser or app. Our main unit has such a function.
I can log in to the management screen of the repeater I'm using, but there's no menu to restart it.

A while ago, I pulled out the Meross smart plug I bought on Amazon. I use it in 3D printers, etc., but I bought some extra when it was on sale.
Simply insert the smart plug between the power outlet and the WiFi repeater and you're all set. After that, if you register additionally from the Meross app, you can control the power on / off from the app.
*Be sure to connect the smart plug to the WiFi main unit. Otherwise, the power cannot be turned on. Conversely, you cannot restart the WiFi base unit. I thought I could restart the WiFi router base unit with this, but I later realized that there was no WiFi that instructed Meross when the power was turned off.
If something goes wrong, you can restart the WiFi repeater remotely by powering it back on from the smartphone app. It's that easy!

If you use this function, you can do something like "Turn off the power at 4 o'clock on Monday morning and then turn it on".
I immediately tried to set the WiFi repeater to turn on and off at dawn when no one would be using it. Actually, I think turning it on and off is a burden, so maybe once a week is fine.
You can also set a countdown function to turn off after a certain period of time.
